We are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy applies to all the web pages related to this web site. All the information gathered in the online forms on the web site is used to personally identify users that subscribe to this service. The information will not be used for anything other than which is stated in the Terms & Conditions of use for this service. None of the information will be sold or made available to anyone.

Registration and Booking

By registering and booking in the website, you warrant that all details you provide to us for the purpose of the services will be correct.

Clients need to register in order to use the services provided by The Laundry Station. The Laundry Station shall not be obligated to provide you with the services until we have confirmed your booking. The Laundry Station reserves the right to decline any booking for any reason.

Bookings need to be made at least two hours in advance, in order for The Laundry Station to allocate resources accordingly. Bookings are approved within 30 minutes but could take up to one hour. Bookings are approved from 8am to 8pm. Changes to any bookings need to be made within an hour before a scheduled collection or delivery. Minimum booking fee is R120

You are able to cancel a booking free of any charge before your booking has been approved. By cancelling the booking The Laundry Station will not provide you any longer with the services linked to that booking. If, for any reason, you have to cancel the booking once it has been approved, The Laundry Station reserves the right to charge for any additional costs (e.g. petrol and storage) if applicable.

Delivery and Collection

The services will be provided at the location and time you specified while making a booking. You should be responsible for providing real and accurate collection and delivery location and time. If, for any reason, we cannot reach you at the agreed collection and/or delivery time and location, The Laundry Station will provide you with the instructions to re-arrange the collection and/or delivery. In these situations, The Laundry Station reserves the right to charge you for any additional costs incurred (e.g. petrol and storage) if applicable or to cancel the services. Items will be collected and delivered from the same address. You may change the delivery details of a booking up until the time such booking has been dispatched, following which charges may apply.

Turnaround Time

The Laundry Station is able to deliver back in 36 hours most of the bookings. However, in the case that some items require any extra care (e.g. items that cannot be tumble dried and items that need special stain treatments), The Laundry Station reserves the right to delay delivery up to a reasonable time. If, for this reason, we cannot deliver at the agreed drop off time, The Laundry Station will contact you to re-arrange the delivery time.

Garment Care

Some stains require special stain removal treatments. If you do not specify the need of a special stain removal treatment, The Laundry Station cannot guarantee the stain will be removed completely even though stain removal is included in our service offering.

The Laundry Station exercises the right not to accept any alcohol stained garments and no pet blankets.

The Laundry Station exercises utmost care in cleaning and taking care of garments entrusted to us and use such processes, which are best suited to the nature and conditions of each individual garment. Nevertheless, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials which may result in tears or development of small holes in fabric that are not readily apparent prior to processing. The Laundry Station cannot guarantee against colour loss, colour bleeding, and shrinkage; or against damage to weak and tender fabrics. The Laundry Station will not be held responsible for any damage unless you specify if special care is require for any of your garments.

Any lost items must be reported within 3 business days. The Laundry Station makes its best reasonable effort to track every item that we process and will review all lost items, nonetheless we will not be held responsible.

The Laundry Station tries as hard as possible to track loose items, we are not responsible for loose items such as jewellery, watches, cash, detachable buttons, cufflinks, etc. We request that customers empty pockets prior to leaving items with us as we cannot be held responsible for damage to your garments from items left in pockets (Lipstick, Gum, Pens, etc). Any personal property placed with The Laundry Station that appears to have value will be removed and stored for 30 days. If items are unclaimed after 30 days, all property will be donated to charity.

We are not responsible for loss through fire, theft, burglary or hijacking in transit.

Updating of these Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to change, modify, add to or remove from portions or the whole of these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes to these Terms and Conditions will become effective upon such changes being posted to this Web site. It is the User’s obligation to periodically check these Terms and Conditions at the Web site for changes or updates. The User’s continued use of this Web site following the posting of changes or updates will be considered notice of the User’s acceptance to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including such changes or updates.
